ARCH in the News
Success of Our Clients
– Maximo Ramos, current client at ARCH
I lived at the Salvation Army shelter for over a year. ARCH provided me with safe and secure housing. Since getting help with my housing assistance at ARCH, I feel at peace and can study without disruptions. I am now working as a CNA in a nursing home. ARCH gave me an opportunity to obtain my educational goals and get into a profession where I can be self-reliant. Thank you so much ARCH for your compassion and getting me back on the right track.
– Jeana Teddar, current client at ARCH
I am so thankful for ARCH assistance. I came to ARCH homeless. As a single mother with two children I was without hope. ARCH has given me confidence, security and a safe place to live. I now have a full time job working at a hotel and am also studying to receive my CNA certification by the end of the year.
– Gracie Camarena, past client of ARCH
If it were not for ARCH and the assistance I received, I would have lost my home.
ARCH helped me get back on track with my mortgage. I have learned to budget and
make sure to pay essential bills first.
– Melvin Dale
“I was living at the Salvation Army homeless shelter and ARCH
was heaven sent. I am a Veteran of the 82 Airborne Division and was
looking for a way back on my feet. Everything fell in place like
clockwork. ARCH helped me with an apartment for a couple of months
and now I feel like I can accomplish my professional goals.
This month I will be buying a truck and have stable employment.”
– Mirela Dapo, ARCH past client
“ARCH is amazing and it’s great to know that there are agencies out there that help individuals in emergencies.
I was a UTPA student pursuing a graduate degree – Master of Science in Criminal Justice.
Based on my outstanding academic record (3.95 GPA) I was awarded a graduate assistantship to cover
my tuition, food and rent. But in my final semester, due to severe budget cuts, the funds I received
from UTPA were cut in half and I only had enough money to cover tuition and food. Thanks to ARCH I was
able to find a safe home, which helped me complete my final semester of studies and graduate.
As a result, right after the graduation I have been accepted into a doctoral program in Criminal Justice at
Texas State University-San Marcos.”
